PLANT is presented at the National Library Building in partnership with the National Library Board. It is one in a ten-part People of Design Showcase Series presented across the Bras Basah and Bugis Design District. These projects were completed at the Division of Industrial Design, College of Design and Engineering at the National University of Singapore, led by either Donn Koh or Hans Tan and Sheryl Teng.
The rise of decorative indoor planting has been phenomenal in recent years. Yet, the evolution of pot and planter design has largely remained stylistic, with the occasional technical novelty.
Cardboard furniture is used to display the plants during the exhibition. Why not use a more eco-friendly and sustainable material instead of clay pots? In addition, utilises a cardboard booth design as an alternative source of material. What a harmonious balance with nature!
