Healing Patients, Healing the Planet: NTFGH & JCH’s Green Efforts
Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH) and Jurong Community Hospital (JCH) are taking big steps towards a greener future. They recently signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Keppel Ltd.’s Infrastructure Division to explore using an energy-efficient District Cooling System (DCS) — supporting Singapore’s national sustainability goals and building a more eco-friendly healthcare system.
As part of their broader green efforts, NTFGH and JCH also hosted the “Heal Our Patients, Heal Our Planet” public forum, supported by the SG Eco Fund. The event featured expert talks, community discussions, and a fun Green Interactive Zone filled with hands-on activities.

A key highlight was the sustainability exhibition built with reusable cardboard panels using our Paper Connect System. Visitors explored themes like energy saving, recycling, and carbon footprint awareness.

One standout display featured a turtle and fish sculpture made from cleaned, used plastic waste — instead of being thrown away, the waste was given a second life as part of a meaningful artwork.
This reminds us how plastic pollution harms marine life and shows how we can reuse materials in creative and useful ways, instead of letting them go to waste.
